Childhood hunger has lifelong consequences. Since our start in 2017 Serving 10 children a week, we’ve grown to support over 50 Title 1 schools and distribute nearly 18,000 pounds of food every week, yet the need continues to grow.

As we expand our reach, our current food sources alone cannot meet the growing demand. That’s why food procurement partnerships are essential to our mission.

How Our Model Works

Our innovative model maximizes the impact of every donated dollar, pound of food, and volunteer hour:

1. Bulk Food Procurement

Backpack Buddies sources pallets of shelf-stable, single-serve food from corporate partners, manufacturers, and donors.

2. Community Buddies Pack & Deliver

Partner organizations pick up cases of food, pack weekend meal bags using their volunteers, and deliver them to their adopted schools every Friday.

3. Kids Receive Reliable Nutrition

More than 2,500 students take home weekend meal bags—ensuring they have food they can depend on.

This streamlined approach keeps costs low, impact high, and distribution fast.

What Food Partners Can Provide

We seek partners who can supply:

Pallets of non-perishable, pre-packaged, single-serving foods (proteins, grains, fruits, vegetables, cereals, snacks, drinks)
Donated or significantly discounted items
Food is transported within a 150-mile radius of Atlanta
Sponsorships, grants, or financial support** for procurement
